Members of the IllustratedATCs.com community receive recognition for their creative efforts through the grant of monthly awards for outstanding artistic contributions to our galleries. The artwork receiving the award is featured on this awards page, a description of the award is added to the member's profile (under the "My Awards" tab), and an award icon is added to the member's posting credentials, which appears at the top of every post the member makes to our forum threads. Initially, the monthly awards included only ATCs and ACEOs (see definition of terms below). Beginning in September 2009, all work submitted to our galleries is eligible for an achievement award.
Terms Used: "ATC" refers to "Artist Trading Card," an art miniature that measures 2.5" x 3.5", the same as commercial trading cards. Artists trade ATCs with other artists at live sessions or over the internet. "ACEO" refers to "Art Card, Editions and Originals." These cards are normally made to be sold, either in galleries or on the internet via eBay, Etsy and other websites. Cards designated as "P&P" were created by artists who belong to our Pencil and Paint division for hand-drawn and painted mail art. Cards designated as "MMA" were created by artists who belong to our Mixed Mail Art division, for collage, mixed media, altered and fibre mail art.
