I'm looking forward to participating - although who knows how many cards I'll actually make haha! I love the cards you've posted, Jellyscuds - quite inspiring!

Hey all. I have been trying like 4-eva to upload to the Halloween-athon and get these messages..like file is bad and too large etc.
I have tried everything. I save to JPEG.. Then resize image to small. By small, I mean 3x4 inches or even smaller and still no go.
Can anyone offer some help please?

If I scan things I generally overkill it at 600dpi which makes it a large file. I usually reduce the size(dimensions) by 50% and the quality by 50% (to a standard 300dpi) which makes the file size a manageable upload.

Alternatively I upload as a hidden/private file to imgur.com and under the images tab you can choose a medium size and it will give you a direct link to use for upload?

I feel so technical and yet at the same time feel like I have no idea what I'm talking about. :P

When I make my upload files I make them smaller dpi, so they can't be stolen. Not by you all, but some nefarious art-stealing fiends!

I go 100 dpi, jpeg and for atcs that's about full size or 2.5 inches across.

For files larger, like tip-ins, I still do the 100 dpi and then reduce the size until I see the Kb get small enough and save as a jpeg.

    Looks like it worked Wildholly!

Cat, a Halloween eyepatch sounds like a genius idea

Seriously though, take care. Don't mess with the eyes.

I have a few cards up for grab. More will be added tomorrow!

Hi all! I'm afraid I haven't had time to make new stuff - I've got some face sketches from last February's 29 Faces challenge in my gallery still if anyone's interested. http://www.illustratedatcs.com/forum....php?c=4&u=130 (Otherwise they're all going to the Milwaukee ATC group's live trade next Saturday since our themes are Favorite Artists and/or Portraits!)

I've also got one Day of the Dead card if you're feeling seasonal

Instead of ATCs I've been working on a fiber art show entry the past two months or so. Still waiting to hear if I got in!

    Wheee!
