    Cool Alcohol Ink Swap?

I'm thinking of hosting a swap for ATCs using alcohol inks.

I'm just wondering if there is enough interest. The inks could be used as background with other media added or it could be the whole card.

    So what are alcohol inks?
They are an ink that can be used on non porous materials (glass, Yupo, ceramic tile, photo paper)
I use mostly Tim Holtz's inks on Yupo.

Here is one ink painting that I did. I've recently done more and can post some later.

Looks really pretty! I've never tried them but I'd be willing to pick up a bottle or two and give it a whirl.

I've been crazy curious about all the different inks everyone uses & how they use them... I probably wouldn't play, but I would definitely lurk to learn what I could...

Something like that would really make me try harder on them.. I thought there were some beautiful cards done in them, and I got excited to try the alcohol ink and yupo paper. I was not patient enough to think things through and got frustrated fast. I watched some amazing videos, but I still haven't gone back. And yes it is messy, but really beautiful colors are available on amazon
Never give up on a dream, because of the time it is taking to accomplish it.. The time will pass anyways.

I wish the yupo wasn't so pricey. Maybe I could trade for a few atc size pieces from someone. I love alcohol inks and how vibrant they are. I used to use them as backing when I sold earrings. People were as attracted to the backing board as they were the earrings! I would play!!

Catpratt, try using some photo paper. Glossy works and I suspect the matte would as well. I like Yupo better but if you're on a budget, it does work. I bought mine at the dollar store.

Oh....and I'd suggest trading for slightly oversized ATCs if you do trade.

I bought a pad of Yupo when I was in Rochester. It was a nice size.
