A Few Newb Questions

Hello! People have been super nice so far and wow, all the great art! I have a few questions about etiquette type things, if people would be so kind as to give their opinions.

1. Send a trade immediately when I have the person's address, or wait if they are making one for me, to send theirs? Also, do you use one of those sturdy flat little mailers, or maybe just a soft mailer with some cardboard? Or maybe it doesn't matter so much as long as it arrives safely?

2. Is it rude to post too many new images to the gallery at one time? (I just commented to someone that I am all excited because I am new so I want to go make a whole bunch and post them.)

3. Is there more activity at certain times of the year or month? Do people go through periods of lots of activity then not much for a while?

Is there anything else you wish you'd known earlier in your trading career?

I don't consider it rude to post a ton of images of great art such as yours!! I say flood our gallery!


As for mailing right away, in my experience people will hold a card and mail at the same time usually. I personally will mail the card right off when it is ready because that is easier for me to check it right off the list of things I need to do. just ask the person you are trading with.

For mailing. There are threads devoted to that. When I am not on my phone I will look for it to link for you I think it is one of the sticky threads.

For active times. I have been away from the site for a while so I do. It know the trends so well. There is certinqlly not as much art here as compaired to the other site. Fewer people here. But the ones that are here are all awesome.

Yes, summers are pretty quiet for trading for sure. And on this site, most often the swaps get the most action rather than individual trades. But if you want to make more single trades then your best best is to send requests for cards/to members that have been active / have cards available over the past 4 weeks. Then at least you know they're active! If someone hasn't been online for months, chances are they're not actively trading at the moment.

Here is how to get the trades going!

1. Join swaps
2. Ask active traders and posters for trades (even if they don't have cards available) via PM.
3. Join the monthly match game
