Thread: thinking about my next swap

Default thinking about my next swap

I'm having a couple ideas for my next swap, but I need to hear what you all think about them, and more importantly - if you'd consider joining.

    * A journal swap. The size and the number of pages would be set, the binding technique, the covers and such would be up to the players. The number of journals would be 1 - 3.

    * An atc/dotee/moo swap, where you'd make the atc, a dotee doll based on the atc, and then a moo on the same theme. It would also be 1 - 3 cards/dolls.

    * I'm also planning a new atc swap, if there are enough interest : Moomin and friends. If you haven't read the books, check them out!

What do you think, any of the above you'd be interested in?

I have no idea what a dotee is but the rest sounds interesting! The journal idea too.

I'm writing on my phone, so I can't paste any links, but google dotee, sal, or do a flickr search. Or search the afa gallery!

Here's some info on Dotee's , Sal. They are fun to make if you enjoy a bit of hand-sewing and can be really cute depending on how much effort you put into them. Here are some cute ones: Dotee Dotee 2 Dotee 3 Dotee 4

Aren't they adorable?! The second I saw them I thought of mupps. I thought, mupps should have a dozen of those. And then she should make me one in classic mupps style.

Yeah! I see totally adorable Mupper Zombie Dotee dolz!

I keep pronouncing it Doe-tee in my head, and not Dot-ie. Am I saying it wrong?

I'm not sure... I pronounce it Dot-tie in my head. I know they were named Dotee dolls after their creator's name: Dot.

I called gesso guess-oh for years. It's hard to get it right when you never hear someone say it.

It's Jess - o. And believe me, I refused to believe it until I heard at least 5 people say it, and I was still stubborn for several weeks afterwards.

hahahahah! I do have a dozen of them, at least! I hosted a creepy versus cute dotee swap on AFA a million years ago. Malin made me a tampon <3

I am down for a trade, stargirl. I can make it next weekend and have everyone breathe on it for you.. lol

also, I wish I had a dozen Junker Jane dolls (those are the folksy gothy ones). I would need to win the lottery first, though.
