Default ALL: Plastic Surgery Gone Wrong | Due September 30, 2012

People are willing to do all sorts of things to their body - it's incredible. However, plastic surgeons are people, too, and people screw up ALL the time. What do you call the person who graduated last in their class in medical school? Doctor. And it doesn't necessarily mean that they have even the slightest aesthetic sense! Beyond that, some people bargain hunt. I've seen facelifts that look like the wearer used a coupon...

It all adds up to some funny looks, if you ask me. Yes, sometimes sad, but mostly funny, especially if it was motivated by vanity and an attempted defiance of time. I have the deepest appreciation for actors who know better and are willing to age naturally, but then there's the Michael Jacksons, Mickey Rourkes, Kenny Rogers, Mary Tyler Moores, and Bruce Jenners of the world...

With the standard ATC deal - nothing majorly chunky or dangly, in a protective sleeve, staying within your juried category, work you are proud of that will result in much sunshine sent your way.

    Welcome, Amerasu! Thanks for joining

and thanks, muppet! yeah, where did they get the silicone bags big enough, I wonder? I couldn't even begin to imagine. or they shellacked some seedless watermelons, maybe..My step-monster has hugeness as well, and she'd let them pool onto the dining room table to give her back a break. It was weird.

Yay! You're on the list official like. And Thanks! You know, tattoos never scared me, but those big puffed lips and frozen botoxed foreheads really freak me out. Never mind the big, perfectly perky boobs on an 80 year old - just not right.

Ha! Creepily weird! I saw a link, I think on Buzzfeed, about plastic surgery by addicted folks. I'll see if I can find it again for some inspiration.

I've seen this person in person..her lips might be a little fuller these days Have you seen the photos of what was left of Michael Jackson's nose? Basically nothing - he wore a prosthetic to cover what was essentially a hole...ewwww. I don't think I could ever live in L.A. Recently, I was watching an episode of Hell's Kitchen, and a few of the people in the dining room had that permanent shellacked look of delighted surprise - obviously older, nary a wrinkle to be found.

Do you know who (in my opinion) has the best plastic surgeon ever? Bob Costas! He looks almost natural! Everyone else I've seen who's had work looks . . . worked. It's not pretty.

    Your card is hilarious, Michelle!

I never see Bob Costas, so I'll take your word on that one, Ann - he's like the Dick Clark of the sports world, yes? And Holy Cannoli! Pete Burns! That's insanity! Pain is truly addictive. About two or three years ago I was at a gallery opening in NYC and Amanda LePore and crew were there - up close s/he is GNARLY! Talk about taking it WAY too far, like a caricature. In a room packed with about 100 people, most dressed as women, I was one of about three with the female DNA, and got tons of catty, lip curled looks because I was not a size 2 or less..it was truly ridiculous, the whole scene. REAL women have hips and they were just jealous, I say. I guess I'm lucky I'm not usually running around in those circles..

Yeah, Costas is all over the Olympics, and he looks the same now as he did when I was in high school. Creepy.

Pete Burns' lips are making me very sad.

Ugh on that gallery crowd. There is no need for anyone to be giving anyone else the looks. Ridiculous.

Ooohhh...I don't have cable or regular TV, so I haven't seen any Olympic coverage, at all. Except for three minutes at a coffee place last night.

As far as the gallery crowd, it was the crowd, not the artists, that made the whole thing hard to take, really. It was jam packed, and I was only one or two people away from the door. This guy comes pushing in wearing ONLY red plastic SOLO cups, as shoes, everything, barely covering his hairy butt... it was February. What a scene. (Not that I wasn't wearing a huge wig, full drag makeup, a deep blue floor length gown, but I was smart enough to bring a giant, pink fur muff...yeah..)

eh, compared to the rest of the room, I was nothing special. There are two videos on youtube and I'm in the background, but you'd never know it was me. I had more photos, but they were lost on a fried laptop. I found a picture of the Solo cup guy, after someone kindly gave him a jacket!

OMG, hilarious. And sad. But mostly hilarious, because she's not real.

LOVE that one breast is higher than the other. Hee! The face is the best, though. Totally brilliant.
