Hey everyone - minor set back. While on vacation I hurt my left thumb pretty bad. I just came back from the doctor to find out I have to have surgery MONDAY Am to fix the torn off ligaments.

I was hoping after a few days the thumb would stop hurting & wobbling and I could get the dolls out - but that's not going to happen. So I'm going to see if some friends will help me.

In the meantime, I need to get everyone's mailing address that can accept small boxes - and I'll see what I can get done 1 handed.

I'll have a cast on for the next 6 weeks - thankfully I'm right handed. But still - should be fun.

The surgery is the best way
And you'll ave "good" pain meds for a while... Will help keep the swelling down. I know my foot was only swollen a few days... Which surprised me. But then he had me on oxy every two hours for two weeks. He said and I quote "I don't want you to feel any pain"..LOL I didn't. Ever, even after getting off those.

Now you get to find alternate ways to hold things still so you can USE your right hand

hey all, sorry ive been off line. as i just 1-hand typed to a few of u, surgery sucks, being in full length cast even suckier. but going bra free for the summer rather nice. LOL!

    thank goodness for amazing friends.

i have dolls and am box hunting this week. was going to use po boxes, but much cheaper to make my own. dolls should be out very soon - assuming anonevyl takes pity on me & helps. hehe.

now off to view amazing art gallery.

I've gotten pretty fast at one finger typing on the iPad .. You should be an expert by the time that cast comes off!

Will be ordering your special healing potion tomorrow.

All boxes will be in the mail by days end!

When you get your box, pay close attention to the bottoms of each doll. They are marked with the Group #, name of person you are creating the doll for, & a # I created for you. Also, some names were too long to write, so they were condensed. Like Goodmorningsstarshine is /GMSS for example.

And, don't fear, I've also got a copy, so if you can't read, or gesso over, just shoot me a PM. I know where all dolls are going.

Lastly, when you ship back, feel free to ship the doll in pieces if you have a snug fit. This will stop the art from sticking. None of the dolls are snug in their own sets, just when we broke them out.

Forgot to tell everyone. I sent every thing out for no more than $7.00 a box (& that was for the double doll sets) - even to Canada. So try to re-use the box, or one of similar size to keep your cost down.

And yes, I cant wait to get this cast off to start painting!

Rig up a holder for the pieces.. Using your left hand to do these will severely tire out that hand! (you know I know what I'm talking about)... You can paint with your correct hand.. If you or Anne can't come up with something, I can put my mechanical mind to work for you

    Steps to follow:

    1) Mark who gets which doll (PM then if they want different characters)
    2) Recommend Starch your dolls (outside & inside) - but not required
    3) Gesso your dolls (outside only)
    4) Paint / Collage / Create your images
    5) Go BIG on the large outside doll with all sorts of stuff if you want
    6) Seal / Varnish each doll
    7) Let dry for at least 1 week
    8) Send back to me to distribute.
