ALL: Elementals Swap, DUE Sept 3rd.
This swap is all about Elementals. That is, personifying the four main elements FIRE, EARTH, AIR and WATER. Your personification should have aspects that are human in form. Feel free to use your imagination though.
This will be a 4:4 swap which means you will create ONE card for EACH element and then recieve one of each element in return. 1 Fire, 1 Earth, 1 Air, and 1 Water card.
Format: Original ATC's
Number of Cards: 4:4
Due Date: Sept 3rd, 2012
Mail By Date: August 27th, 2012.
Cards MUST be in the mail by this date, at the latest.
Mediums: According to your membership.
Instructions:
Please send in your BEST work! Dont rush, do your very best. Seriously.
1. Please make sure your cards are on theme, and mailed on time.
2. Please PM me for my address if you are sending your cards early.
Otherwise I will send out a general PM to all the participants, about 3 weeks prior to the due date.
3. -I will supply the Envelopes.
- Include a large address label in your package (the sticker kind).
4. I will need help with postage!
- CANADIAN players, send postage stamp(s) and an address LABEL.
- US players, enclose a well concealed $1 bill, (or 2 Canadian stamps if you have them) and an address LABEL.
- International players, enclose an address LABEL. I will cover postage.
If you happen to have some Canadian stamps, or US dollar bills, then I would be very grateful if you sent a couple along.
5. Please send your cards early! I live in Canada so plan for it to take two weeks to get to me.

TS, can you check my gallery and make sure that I am doing the elements swap correctly? I am not sure what "your personification should have aspects in human form" means. I didn't see this till I had a couple of cards made, let me know if I am going in the wrong direction, I'll wait to hear from you before I do anymore cards....

Omg! Those cards are really, really great! I really hate to say though that they dont fit with the theme.
I will try to expain the "aspects in human form" better and post a couple of pics as examples.
What I want is for each element to be represented as a person. So while you can get pretty creative with how much of a person to show you still have to have a person in there somewhere. So the "Fire Elemental" could would be a woman dressed in fire clothing, or a face coming out of lava, or fire and smoke creating the outline of a figure. Those are just some ideas that could be used. When I think of an Elemental I think of something primordial, a force of nature, but you could interpret it differently. I think your big wave is a very good representation of a force of nature.
I hope that is more clear. I think if you did that AMAZING wave but had a face in there, or made it look like the surfer was made of water too, that would work. Also you need to have one of each element, since I saw you did two Water cards I want to make sure you dont think you should do 4 Water. You should do 1 Water, 1 Fire, 1 Air, and 1 Earth.
