Sal, would you work in an urban sketchbook?
The stock is nicer to work right on. I would be willing to run it if we start in the new year.

Yes, for sure. I'm happy to work in any journal.

I think that if we do this, we should let everyone choose a journal to use, as long as it's the same size (within an inch either way of 4" x 6"). And then we just set out the number of pages to complete, regardless of how many pages are in each journal. I really dislike the fold out zigzag journals for myself so would prefer to send out one with single pages but I'm happy to work in a fold out. Or, if someone has a bigger journal, like the Strathmore 5.5" x 8" softcover with mixed media paper, then people work on 3 pages rather than 4 pages. Or something like that; however the math works out. Details can be listed in each person's theme post.

There would have to be restrictions on size like the journal being able to fit into a 6" x 9" yellow bubble mailer so costs are about the same for everyone.

great idea Sal. What about for those folks who would rather do tip ins? Art junkie does hers that way so the book doesn't get lost!!! each person does their panel/s and mails to the person who has owns the book. Those folks could join too couldn't they?

She does that over at AFA. Your book has a theme and everyone does one panel in that theme. You paste it in. Also, that way the book owner is in charge of the background flowing, with panel on top. And, if your book isn't filled at the end, just ask for more trades to keep it going. If we did it that way, everyone just chooses their own book and we only mail panels. = less expensive. I think she has a MMH thread like that on AFA too.

You can open it now with a January or February start date no problem. It might take that long to get enough people interested!

    Wink

Cat...I am also super interested in this type of a swap. I have so many beautiful works of art from the traveling journals..have been looking to do another...I also would prefer the tip-in or panel idea as best option.
