I can feel myself getting weaker and weaker by the day!

I just finished cards for the swaps I had joined so I'm going to have some free time for this weekend.... what kind of cards are people making or what kind are people wanting?? I always have a hard time thinking of what to do...

shahe05: I always have that problem with the A-thons too! Maybe we should all post themes we like in the thread and chat about them....we could also look at each other's profiles, but chating about them is more fun
I have a new Address! The old one still works (my mom lives there) but PM me for the NEW one

I haven't considered what kinds of cards to make yet--I was planning on just putting pen to paper and seeing where it leads when the time comes!

I never know either. I just wing it when the time comes and make whatever I feel like. But if anyone wants to list themes, that's always handy too.

Amy: I think most people will do that!

How many others prefer to have themes to work from? I'm just curious (A-thons are free for alls, no set rules) because I prefer having a theme to work from

Me too. I've dropped out of most open-themed atc swaps I've ever been in. I just stare forever saying 'duh...' Even creating a theme for myself doesn't work, no matter how specific it is.
    Oh! You pretty things!

Starshine.... I'm the same way. If I set the theme, I think that might be what I like to do but is that what anyone would want...

Having a theme does cure the whole 'blank page' problem, I like the structure of working to themes but was looking forward to seeing how I go just working to the muse this weekend.................. of course I have no idea what the muse actually is yet!

One idea I had was looking through the Forums and seeing which swaps I might like the sound of but not have the time to join or the inspiration for making three and using some of those ideas.

Cindyjob, that's a good idea. I had exactly the opposite idea... some swaps I'm on a roll, and seem to hit some kind of heavenly jackpot, so not only is there an overflow of ideas, they're cohesive in theme as well as style. You know, this rush of coins and they're all gold... or silver or okay, nickel.
That's happened to me recently in a swap at AFA, and I think I'm going to make cards in that style, maybe try out different colours.

FYI, the A-Thons at AfA usually have "suggestions" for themes for each day. You might try that here. (ie: Friday Found Poetry, Saturday Winter themed, etc) it is always just "suggested" not required.

I am excited- I have never done an Art-a-Thon before, the timing has always been off. This is my first, and I am psyched!
