Moleskine 2012: New style with NO big commitments

*Start Date*: Anytime
*Swap*: Moleskine, single pages
*Moleskine Style*: Watercolour Notebook - Pocket, 3.5 x 5.5 60 pages...

Start Date: Anytime
Swap: Moleskine, single pages
Moleskine Style: Watercolour Notebook - Pocket, 3.5 x 5.5 60 pages.
Artwork Time: Mail back within 2 weeks

Instructions
• Anyone can join in at any time. Open to P&P and MMA.

• We use this Moleskine: Watercolour Notebook - Pocket, 3.5 x 5.5 60 pages. This means the pages are thicker and sturdier for MMA and also nicer for painting on.

• Swap: 1 on 1 for 1 - 4 pages at a time (or whatever you want)

• Once you have your book and your theme, I add you to the list below. Contact anyone else on the list to do a Moleskine trade. Make mailing arrangements via PM.

• We use regular mail for international (unless you want to pay for tracking of your own book, then make arrangements in advance). ALWAYS use tracking within your own country.

• Keep mail receipts for proof of mailing!

• Art should be completed within 2 weeks (after arrival of course) and mailed back promptly. Don't sign up for a switch when you're busy, set up your trades when you have free time.

• If you run into problems, communicate. We all go through busy moments - just communicate and all will be well! And don't take trades when you're busy. That usually helps. And communicate. We can't say that enough.

Participants
• Amerasu --on HOLD!
(theme: Colour-You can draw or collage whatever you want but just make sure it's filled with saturated and delicious colours. All of them. If possible.)
• Kre (theme: i decided to simply put as many themes as i could fit in the end, because i couldn't decide so here are the cover pages
now anyone who puts art in it will be spoilt for choice too)
• catpratt (theme: RAINBOW COLORS. I am hoping that you will draw/paint/collage any image at all, but following the colors of the rainbow. If the page before yours is red, you can do red, or move on to orange. If it gets to the end of ROYGBIV, the last page finished being Violet, and you don't want to do violet, then go back thru BACKWARDS. So, you'd do indigo in that case. Make sense? I'm hoping for a flowing rainbow book.)
• WildHolly (theme: "IT HAS WINGS" Any 2-4 pages. Lots of colorful imagery. HD-HP only and I love, DOD, funky, whimsey and steampunk style as well. thanks!)

Skeleton Key Swap??

Hey Everyone, I'm not sure if I can host a swap like this here or not... it's not really p&p or mma... i'm not even sure if anyone would even be interested... but, I think it would be a lot of fun.

Right now i'm into making ornate keys... not for jewelry or people to wear, but more for framing and wall art.

The only guideline would be we all have to start with a skeleton key as the base, and go from there.

What i'm thinking is we would break into groups of three within the swap and make keys for everyone in our group... kind of like a PAT... I dunno... just a thought, and would like to hear what others think.

Here is one I just made (it still isn't completely finished, but just to kind of give you an idea) it's aprox 5.5" h x 3.5" w

Hand Swap with Themed Groups
Due in my "real" HANDS July 6, 2012
No withdrawl dates - however if you are in a group of only 3 your need to stay in if there are more than 3 I don't have a problem just let me know.
Number of participants - a bazillion
Open to all, but NO heavy embleshments, a hangy thing here or there is okay
Stay with-in your own juried realm
***BE SURE AND POST YOUR HANDS SO YOUR HAND CAN BE VOTED ON AT THE END OF THE SWAP FOR A PRIZE....I will provide info about the prize soon***

ON the OTHER HAND SWAP

ALL HANDS ON DECK!! ALL HANDS ON DECK!!

You know they say “the devil finds work for idle HANDS” so I guess we need to take matters in our own HANDS and work HAND in HAND to not allow this opportunity to raise our HANDS above our heads and tell the world we are not afraid to proclaim: “YES, I AM A HANDS FREAK AND I’M NOT ASHAMED!!” pass us by.
Come one, Come all - join us, help spread your HANDS across the world. Send a HAND where no other HAND has gone. There are those that think we can’t find our ass with both HANDS however I know we can do that with one HAND tied behind our backs……. So before we have blood on our HANDS and this all gets out of HAND, let’s get this party going….HANDS DOWN!!

RULES: Here’s what you do.
Pick a group, any group, all groups. We are adults here and I believe you can HANDle yourself and not let your lust for HANDS get out of control.
If you want to trade for one in one group make one, if you want to trade for two in one group make two (no more than two per group) When you sign up just say what group and how many.

Look at each group CAREFULLY because each one has its own set of rules.
SIZE MATTERS: The hands shouldn’t be more that 8 inches tall and no wider than 8 inches (that allows for the open fingers). No hands smaller than 6 inches tall.
POSTAGE:
Internationals do not let postage keep you from playing. People have been so generous in my last two swaps I have ample funds to cover postage if you don’t have it. Of course great if you do.
Canadian players the same goes for you. If you have postage or cash great if not I will take care of it.
US – the same postage it takes to get to me plus either two extra stamps or 50 cents. Because your returns may be bigger or heavier than the ones you sent.
IMPORTANT – IMPORTANT:Please – Please put your user name and first name on the FRONT AND BACK of your envelopes. This saves so much time when swapping out.
Please – Please put your user name on the back of all art work. Your real name would be nice but optional.
ENVELOPES/MAILERS:Our largest hand could be 8 X 8 so all mailers should be at east that to accommodate all size returns. I try to use the same mailer you send to me unless it is so well tapped it is destroyed getting it open. I’m thinking one of the larger manila envelopes with a piece of cardboard for support would work. They can be folded down to whatever size we need.
Include a large return label.

If you want to lay a HAND on the hostess, she will love it, but not necessary…you know the drill.

Here the twist…….there is going to be a prize for the hand most liked. We will do a poll before I swap them out and the winner will receive a prize. (The winner being the one that created the lucky HAND.) I haven’t decided what yet but it will be something nice.

So stop wringing your HANDS and sign up! There has to be at least 3 people in a group to make a group. If I forgot anything let me know. Now go, sign up.

Group 1 NATURE – animals, trees, waterfalls, under the sea….you know nature…
