You may want to consider the envie hoders in this vid as an alternative to securing your ATCs with scotch tape LOL.
:treehugger:
I have seen instructions for making these "holders" at AFA and on blogs and such and have gotten them from folks in my swaps, but couldn't find a video, and so made one.
You can watch it by clicking this link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eX8qskGFMVQ
If any of you are hosting right now and want to encourage your swap participants to "Go Green", please feel free to use the link!

I am so doing this, thank you Annie. Another reason to do this is because some of the envelopes I get in the mail are SO cool. I have a huge pile from the art-a-thon and they are decorated and interesting and should definitely be used again.

Awesome Cat! Maybe I'll do another vid, like a "Take Two!" on how to decorate them LOL, since they can be re-used they could at least LOOK cool, right?
Sal and Sarah: Thanks! it's my favorite ring! I collect Flower Rings :D

Simple but effective - the best way to be.
I get around the ball of scotch tape by simply removing the cards and leaving the sleeves taped together so that they can be refilled and sent back to the artists. I think I used this technique some years ago (the one you're tutoring) but stopped it for some reason. I'm not sure why. Now I use magic dots on pieces of card, but once I'm out of magic dots it might be time to pull out the stapler again.

I actually cut up one of those card holder pages that goes into a binder to use. It makes 3 strips of 3 slots, and usually you can fit your host card and return addy/postage in with your cards too. It's durable, and so really really reusable. I just write my name on it so it gets returned. I've been using the same set for quite a while. Sometimes I just have to touch up my name to keep it legible.

It's a good idea, but I keep forgetting to use it ;)
I'm good about putting easy pull tabs on my tape..

I also like the people who use the stamp ends. They are easy to remove.
I tend to use recycled paper I have around the house.
But thanks for a fun alternative!
