Poppies are my favorite flowers!
This swap is all about them.

CARD INFO:
--Swap 3 cards for 3 in return, 2 sets is fine, 3 sets if you are ambitious. :)
--Put your USERNAME on the backs of your cards
--Please put clear plastic sleeves on your cards.
--Due date is September 14sth (5 1/2 weeks away!). It's a quick turnaround, but a simple theme.

--Sign up in the thread and PM me for my address WHEN you are sending your cards.
--Post in the thread or PM me with any questions.

SENDING INFO:
--Cards DUE to me on September 14th
--US players Send a SASE
I will put my return address label on your return envelope.
--ALSO, U.S. particpants, please send one Loose stamp (39 cents or more) to help cover international returns. This is so we dont' have to limit international players.
--International participants, send a self-addressed envelope (or self-stick label) and I will cover postage. An extra ATC or some lovely cancelled postage stamps or ATC blanks, is welcomed, but not required. PLEASE send US postage instead if you have it!
--Put your USERNAME on your return envelope please! (on the back is fine)
--I will post your feedback within 48 hours of recieving your cards.

Wow, Sept 1.. that's really soon for me. I will try though. Just pencil me in because I'm not sure if I can make that date. I'll let you know within the next week or so if I've cleared enough backlog to be able to make these cards too.

Yes, they are mine, 3 are for the flowers swap at OS that Tablynn is hosting....hopefully they will swap for some doozies, I had a hard time sending them off. :D

Thanks for changing the date, now let's ALLLLLL play! (The only reason I had made it a bit early was cause my Tiptop dolls are due Mid September, and I didn't want a total flood of cards coming in. I'll survive. ;)

Yeah, I may have to snag one of those for my own returns as I really liked them. Now I just have to do my cards for that swap. Since I don't have to worry about mail time, I keep pushing them to the back of the list. I am not sure if I will do these or the ones for my swap at the OS first. I guess they will all get done in the end:)

Welll.... I was doing "poppy pixies" they looks just like poppies, but the black center is their head, arms and hair (all black) and the petals are their skirts, so they look just like poppies, but also look like little pixies from an above view...

I won't be offended if you say no :)

I worked on mine (for the 3rd time) this morning...they still need something MORE...
started with india ink
then watercolor
now pencils (colored and a bit of watercolor)

Hmmmm....must let them rest a few more days and I'll figure it out. I may go back in with the black ink and add some modern edges, a bit of 'doodling' to them, so they aren't so classic, and more my funky OY style.

I think I am going to add a bunch of black doodles to them, to really make them pop. I'll start with bottom left card, since it's the most BLAH.

I like them just as they are! I think they're very nicely done. But I can also see how they'd be cool with your doodling black ink style. I don't think you can go wrong either way.

I got a wonderful group of cards today; from insufficiently(Awesome colored pencil close-up), OY(I LOVE this card!!! "Ornamental Poppy"), and Eraserqueen(The yellow background makes the red "Pop," no pun intended!). Thanks to the great hostess and talented players!!!

Thanks to Eraserqueen (really neat bold card with "dancing" poppies), Amerasu (beautiful gold and green cards with really nice ink work) and insufficiently (wonderful cropping and and the inkwork almost looks like stained glass, very pretty). :spinny: Yay!!!! I got my cards in from OY (the beautiful one with text), EQ (amazing with yellow dots on background, I am so lucky you decided to stay in), and Amerasu (yellow on green, also gorgeous).

Now I just want to say how fortunate I am to be here, honestly, I got the poppies in the same day I got a swap in from the OS and I had to laugh because the quality difference is amazing. I showed my parents and they said that I should swap exclusively here because the cards that keep coming from all the OS swaps are not equal to the quality that went out. So I just want to thank every one here for fabulous effort and quality, the dread of returns has been replace by sheer joy and anticipation once again :spinny:
