Okay, so this isn't for ATCs - so, I hope that I haven't placed it in the wrong forum.
What I'm looking for is 4x4 inch pieces instead of standard art card size. What I want to do is make a mini scrapbook type album for my almost-two-year-old son. It'll have pictures and words regarding all sorts of things like numbers, letters, colours, shapes. Right now I'm just going to start with colours. I thought, though, that it would be more fun if all the different illustrations were done by you guys instead of all just by me.
If you would like to participate, I am offering a custom art card for every page that you sign up for. But art cards are smaller than the pages I'm asking for.. so, I guess I could offer two art cards per page if that sounds more fair. Okay, if anyone here collects 4x4 art, I would definitely match your 4x4 with a custom 4x4 from myself. So, yeah, when you respond, please tell me what you'd like in return! ^.^
I know I don't have an itrader rating here, yet, seeing as I am quite new. But I do have some accumulated at AFA forum if you want to check up on me. I'm 'wolftlou' there... Wolfgang Tlouey is a character I made up in highschool and so I have been going by that name online ever since. Tlouey is what most people online call me for short. Link to my itrader: http://www.atcsforall.com/forum/itrader.php?u=2502 I'm too new to this forum to have any iTrader stuff here, yet, but hopefully a few people will be receiving their cards soon.
So, I'm not sure if I'm going to adhere the pages to coasters and turn it into a coaster album or if I'm going to find a 4x4 album with 4x4 page protectors and slide them in there. It depends on what I can find and what I can afford. So, to give me room for such options, I'd like the paper not to be -overly- thick, just thick enough to support your media.... nothing too much thicker than 140lb, please. Feel free to do mixed media if that's what floats your boat, but no thick embellishments or little things that could chip or break off (this IS for a two year old to look at, after all).
This isn't a big rush, it is an ongoing project that I would like to start up. But I am an excitable person, so I woooould love to see results not TOO long after a person has signed up. But again, no real due date.. hopefully you get it finished and mailed out within 2008, though. LoL.
Okay so, because I want all the pages to be similar and slightly uniform. Please do one page per colour. Please don't put the word on the page.. only the drawing that shows off that colour.
Because Jayden, my son, is only two, he would prefer 1 subject be the main image of each page. I'm sure you could do some lovely drawings/paintings/collages/whatever showing off many things of that colour... but it would be better for him if you just had one recognizable thing and perhaps some other things in the background.
Examples... you chose red, so you drew a red fire engine... or... you chose green, so you drew a big tractor... or... you chose blue, so you drew a blue whale.... or... you chose orange, so you drew a orange fox. On the page across from it, I will put text.. like "RED; The Fire Engine is RED". But you don't have to worry about that, I'll do that myself when I make the booklet.
So, if you want to participate, please respond with what you want to do. I have a list below of what colours I want at this time. Also, when you respond, please also tell me what art card(s) you want from me. It'll probably be easiest for me to keep track of everything in this thread than through a bunch of PM's. Thanks.
Each gets its own page:
RED - Lagaz
YELLOW - EraserQueen
BLUE - altermyworld
ORANGE - lemurkat
GREEN - jklee
PURPLE - adriayna
PINK - Amerasu
TURQUOISE - OriginalYouth
BROWN - Chronata
BLACK - potbellyarts
WHITE - Patti
GREY - EraserQueen
Thanks SO much to anyone who volunteers!
Oh, and BTW, Jayden is obsessed with trucks and cars... so, if you find them particularly fun, inspiring, or easy to draw, pleeeease draw them! LOL! But fruit, veggies, animals, flowers, plants...and whatever else will be great too! As long as its something he'll recognize, nothing too obscure. And it doesn't necessarily have to be a realistic colour for that thing... I'm sure Jayden would get a kick out of pink lizards and purple cows - even if potentially confusing, lol!
Thanks again :D
