What are ATCs? Artist Trading Cards (ATCs) are individual fine art miniatures which are traded between artists. They measure 2.5" x 3.5", the same as commercial trading cards. Artists trade with other artists at live sessions or over the internet. Artists can also join themed swaps with other artist participants and receive a set number of cards in return. Artists generally sign and date the back, and may also include a title and contact information on each of their cards. Name: Annie Melion (EraserQueen)About you and your art I started creating paper dolls at age nine and I admit Harry potter encouraged me to draw more than pretty ladies and clothes. I found ATC's in 2003 when an online art friend told me about Mailart! I work in watercolor, colored pencil, markers and acrylic. and have ventured into the realms of mixed media, but illustration will always be my first love. Your inspirations I am inspired by other artists, their vision and the way they interpret the world. I also love music and books. Fave artists My favorite artists are Kinuko Y. Craft, Ernst Fuchs, Michael Parkes, Arthur Rackham, G.C. Myers, Norman Lindsy, Aubrey Beardsley, Miguel Martinez, R.C. Gorman, Amy Sol, Kelly More, Kathie Olivas, Itzchak Tarkay and many more. Tips and tricks Don't be afraid to add fun graphic design elements to your art! I also love using sparkle gel pens and weird metallic paint for extra shimmer. Mixing watered-down silver acrylic paint into watercolor adds a great shimmer to your work.
